Our Articles of Faith

 

  • We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired by GOD, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the only supreme and final authority in faith and life.
     

  • We believe that there is but one living and true GOD; an infinite,all knowing Spirit, perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each equally deserving worship and obedience.
     

  • We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
     

  • We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God.

What We Believe

  • We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature; thereby, individual salvation is needed to be able to enter into a relationship with God.
     

  • We believe that because the Lord Jesus died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, all who profess faith in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood through grace, and not on the basis of human merit or works.
     

  • We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven and His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.
     

  • We believe that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will personally return and set up His Kingdom wherein He will rule and reign in righteousness.
     

  • We believe that all who truly receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God.
     

  • We believe that holiness and sanctification should be a part of the believer’s lifestyle and that people with known ungodly habits should hold no offices in the church.
     

  • We believe that members should be willing to give of their time, talents, and money for the furtherance of the Gospel and the edification of the Body of Christ.
     

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the blessedness of the saved, and the retribution of the lost.
